Laina is a practicing Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 plus years of experience in counseling and working with children, individuals, couples and families. She has a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Methodist College in North Carolina and a Master of Social Work degree from Portland State University. In 2006, Laina started Changing Seasons Counseling, Inc in the greater Willamette Valley in Oregon. In 2013, Laina was offered a position in Alaska to provided therapy to underserved populations in the Mat-Su Valley in which she lived as a teenager. Laina has continued to provide tele-counseling to multiple clients in Oregon. Laina is currently licensed in Alaska and Oregon.
By fostering trust in the therapeutic relationship and recognizing each person as the expert of their own experiences, she works to guide them toward the solution that suits their strengths; Laina believes it is a privilege to provide support to each person as they experience meaningful growth in their journey of life.
